Voyages en Sardaigne is a collection of unconventional thematic guides to this island in the middle of the Mediterranean. It offers readers itineraries of observation and restitution of its territory, always characterized by an uncertain temporality, in which present and past merge to build a unique landscape, far from the convulsive staging of contemporaneity. The Sardinian context becomes a paradigm for overcoming the debate aimed at highlighting the contrast between the two opposing poles: novelty and tradition. To weave this field portrait, photographs and texts interweave in the production of an anthology capable of offering a multiplicity of possible representations. Words and images form a linguistic whole in which discourse and gaze reveal relationships and possible directions for discovering these places.
